    Vue d'ensemble

    The Dispatch is responsible of Customer Service and satisfaction. He/she is responsible of managing truck fleets on a daily basis and oversees the day-to-day activities of the Central Dispatch, such as orders, COD sales, Customer Service, coordinate RMX concrete activities with other departments, Tracking tools management, etc. 

    Responsabilités

    Safety:

    • Promote a culture of safety with an objective of “zero” incidents
    • Ensure that work areas and surrounding area is kept safe, presentable and functional
    • Attend daily huddle & participate in monthly safety meetings with personnel, supervisors and visitors
    • Report all safety incidents (PPE, near misses…)
    • Act as key person in communicating with and receiving feedback on topics of safety, logistics and service

     

    Order Taking & Dispatch:

    • Supervise day-to-day dispatch activities
    • Coordinate hours & schedules of dispatch team
    • Maintain event order daily log
    • Manage COD pricing and sales.
    • Managing GPS platform
    • Assist central order desk in taking orders and maintaining customer relations
    • Ensure on-time delivery of material to customers
    • Ensure order / ticket information is accurate
    • Proactively communicate customer, delivery and system issues with dispatch, sales and back-office to ensure timely resolution
    • Provide solutions to conflicts and make key decisions in a timely manner
    • Perform root cause analysis on issues and provide solutions
    • Coordinate Lafarge truck fleet, brokers and external rentals across Eastern Ontario
    • Participate in the NCR Ops/Sales daily CFOM

     

    Reporting:

    • Maintain tracking tool
    • Assist in various administration tasks as directed by management

    • Direct Reports: 0
    • Indirect Reports: 30-40

    Compétences

    Education & Work Experience:

    • A college degree in logistics, supply chain management, business or significant industry experience.
    • RMX Concrete or general dispatch experiences an asset.
    • Customer service experiences an asset.

     

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills (French and English) with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability to manage resources for our performance and to meet customer’s satisfaction.
    • Proficient in general software application and Microsoft applications, such as office, window, etc.
    • Able to work in a team and compose yourself under pressure and stressful situation.
    • Demonstrated strong problem solving skills; a self-starter
    • Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; strong time management skills essential
    • Maintains composure in dealing with difficult situations; demonstrates positive customer service attitude
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills and the desire to seek solutions
    • Excellent leadership skills - must be able to motivate others and provide complete, direct and actionable feedback
